University Of Washington Visiting Medical Student Subinternship Program |
The Diversity Visiting Medical Student Subinternship Program is a funded program designed to give fourth-year medical students, from backgrounds historically underrepresented in medicine, the opportunity to experience the exceptional education in psychiatry offered by the University of Washington. Students will spend four weeks on either an adult inpatient psychiatry team at Harborview Medical Center, or a child and adolescent psychiatry inpatient team at Seattle Children’s Hospital, between September and December, 2015. They will also attend resident didactics and teaching conferences and will have the opportunity to go to a clinic, with a psychiatry faculty member or resident, one or two half-days per week.
